My Name’s Nellie Cat…
Well you should know who am by now! My name is Nellie though once it was Nelson, my name got changed when I was sent to the veterinary for the snip. I got kidnapped and taken from my mom when I was just a little kitty, then shipped off to my ship in Mexico to be a ship’s cat. It’s an English ship, it’s sailing around the world but with me on it. I’m supposed to catch vermin and things like that but I’m on a lifelong strike because I don’t get paid wages.
Because I’m on strike over my wages and job description, I started by own thing goin’ by being a Feline Agony Aunt, mainly because I’ve got to know loads. Plus I’ve got a special aptitude for givin’ advice to others and I think I can make a bit of money from it. We haven’t made anything yet but when I’ve got ten pounds I can plan my escape and make my own way back to England.
These days I got myself a team together because I think that’s the best way to always be there for you. I didn’t plan on getting a team but when I met Wosita and Herminia they seemed to be just like me by having that special skill you don’t see so much it cats. Plus they were both starving and needed my help.
Then we came across Mildred, our friendly veterinary when she was unconscious on the sidewalk outside of that bar, we think she’d been drinking something to make her fall over. She woke up suddenly thinking we’d saved her life so we’ve been friends ever since. She claims to be a fully qualified veterinary but we’re not quite sure, anyway she’s weird and we like her.
So any advice you want you can get it from us. We each got a special skill so that spectrum thing is well covered. And if it’s medical stuff then we got Mildred.
Nellie The Ships Cat.
